Last week, we were pleased to learn that Oppo was returning to France after a year's absence. Now managed directly by the European subsidiary, the brand is reassuring: it's coming back for good. When it announced its return, Oppo also announced two smartphones recently presented in China: the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro, distant successors of the Oppo Reno 8 that we tested in late 2022. The European launch of these two smartphones was scheduled today.

As expected, Oppo held a keynote to announce the arrival of the two phones in Europe, specifying all the details of the marketing in France. We know the price, the configurations and even the release date. And Oppo is looking forward to its return, because the price-quality ratio of the Reno 12 is aggressive enough to go for Motorola, Redmi, Poco and Honor. That's good news.

RENO 12 AND 12 PRO ARRIVES IN FRANCE AT LESS THAN 550 EUROS
Let's start with the configurations. Each model comes in only one version. The Reno 12 is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. And the Reno 12 Pro is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Then the prices. The Reno 12 is sold for 449 euros in France. And the Reno 12 Pro is sold for 549 euros. As a reminder, the "standard" Reno 8, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, was offered in France at 599 euros. Oppo is making a real commercial effort for its return.

Last important point: the launch date. The Reno 12 and 12 Pro will be on pre-order from June 21, 2024. That is to say, at the end of the week.
